#11 Vaquaro Knotted, Hybrid....
I made this for a customer in Barcelona Spain. He wanted the traditional center bar with leather ends but decided that roller buckles would be a better route for him. I know he really wanted the leather ends and worked out a way to adapt them to the roller buckles. It really worked out well. This is the result of a joined design effort. A popular design for ropers. I dress them up a bit to make them one of a kind. What is hidden is a biothane center holding the tie down rings. It has a 3000 lbs breaking strength and will not rot! It is a double layer using almost 80 feet of mohair cord.

Because of how long it takes to make this body the price as shown is $249. $ 309 with leather ring protectors.
#16 2 color body shown in brass
fairly simple basic body allows me to sell this cinch a little cheaper even though it looks quite intricate. #31 K cinch $269
#31 This cinch combo is awesome! I have been testing for a while now on my wade trail saddle. It has been just incredible as far as fit and function. I see unlimited possibilities for this. It works great with a mule because it holds the cinch back from the front legs and works around a pot bellied mule. on any animal it holds the back of the saddle down like a regular rear cinch but allows freedom of spur location for training and reining. So I think it would be great for say gaming or barrel racers, also would be handy for starting colts and reining maneuvers. Made with all stainless steel hardware your choice of roller buckles or flat oval center bar as shown with Jeremiah Watt center ring at junction. billet keepers for rear billets and one for front offside billet if wanted. I use a latigo on both sides on my saddle.
Many color variations and styles.

I love being out here!
Its nice to have things set up to enjoy what I do out here. The Axis deer in the background I took free range in Texas in the hill country. It is in the record book as the number 4th biggest ever taken and the # 2 in the world with a bow....I used a Black Widow recurve!
In the forground is a nice 300 inch bull I took during the rut in the Frank Church Wilderness on a back country hunt.
Working on a cinch for one of my rope horses here. Personally I like subtle colors but used an intricate design for testing to make sure even a complicated pattern will stay in place and not unravel.
An early prototype I gave to a friend
This is a cutter style cinch I developed and gave to Myrna Holz. Her husband Harold has been a good friend and a roping buddy for almost 27 years now. Myrna is a master at breaking colts and getting them light and soft and has helped me a lot with my riding. I have also bought a few of their finished products and I always did well on the horses I purchased from them. She is still active in reining and cow work as a grandma and has a ripper little horse that I made this for. Harold use to own and make Holz aluminum trailers and now builds High quality roping and using saddles.
Developing a new design
I put this combo together for my Carrie Schwarz custom wade saddle.
New porch on the shop
A neat place sit by the fire pit and listen to bluegrass at the end of the day! The ol dog loves it too. Now.....just a little paint.....
